Admissions

Horizons students are drawn from a diverse group of children in lower Fairfield County. Applications to the program are accepted each year between October 1st and January 15th. Once parents have completed the application, Horizons receives information about each candidate from the child’s school system. Admission is very competitive, and all decisions are completed by late March.
 
Income is a factor in the admission decisions. We use the federal meal guidelines governing a family’s qualification for free or reduced price school lunches to determine eligibility for Horizons. All children attend on full scholarship; we do not have a sliding scale. There is a $50 registration fee, which is waived in cases of extreme hardship.

Applications Will be available for Summer 2009 after Octuber 15, 2008. New student applications are due on January 15, 2009.  Horizons Summer Program runs from the last week of June- first week of August.  If you cannot commit to being here all of those dates, please apply another year.  Thank you!
