Admissions

Horizons students are drawn from a diverse group of children in lower Fairfield County. Applications to the program are accepted each year between October 1st and January 15th. Once parents have completed the application, Horizons receives information about each candidate from the child’s school system. Admission is very competitive, and all decisions are completed by late March.
 
Income is a factor in the admission decisions. We use the federal meal guidelines governing a family’s qualification for free or reduced price school lunches to determine eligibility for Horizons. All children attend on full scholarship; we do not have a sliding scale. There is a $50 registration fee, which is waived in cases of extreme hardship.

Applications for Summer 2011 will be available the second week of October 2010. New student applications are due to the Horizons office on January 15, 2011.  Re-enrollment forms need to be in the Horizons office by December 15, 2010.
