Nehemie Moïse Young

In October 2016, Nehemie Moïse Young joined the Horizons team as our School Year Program Director coming from the Family and Children’s Agency in Norwalk, CT. Nehemie is currently the Director of Student and Family Support and is responsible for developing and managing the social-emotional and enrichment programming elements, as well as family partnerships for our six-week Summer Program, as well as our K-12 School Year Program. Nehemie has her Masters of Social Work from New York University and her BA from the University of Vermont. Nehemie serves on the Social Justice and Equity task force for Norwalk ACTS, and is a tri-chair for the Postsecondary CAN for Stamford Cradle to Career. Nehemie is an alumna of Horizons at New Canaan Country School and worked previously as a summer Teaching Assistant and an Academic Coach in our High School Program. Nehemie is passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion work and committed to programming that supports the development of the whole child and nurtures family engagement and wellbeing.
