9th Grade Summer

The Horizons ninth grade summer program will allow our students to continue to nurture the positive social connections they have built with their Horizons peers throughout elementary and middle school. Our research has found that it is extremely important and beneficial to offer a safe and productive summer experience for grade nine students, who may not have many productive program, internship or employment alternatives until they are 16. The ninth grade summer program will include a focus on leadership development, career exploration, and service to community, and participating students will have the opportunity to take on leadership roles within the Horizons summer community. In addition, they will continue to be able to experience project-based learning, swimming and participation in sports, special events and specially designed field trips.
